Kings Canyon + Sequoia National Parks
Spent Memorial Day Weekend camped underneath the stars in two of California's beautiful national parks. Kings Canyon was more dramatic and impressive than I could have imagined. The sheer walls of rock, and the pink glow that envelopes them as they prepare for night fall. Equally as impressive was the incredible amount of water rushing through the canyon floor. If you ever find yourself in either of these parks you should absolutely check out the meadow near Princess Campground. It is unreal. For camping - I would check out the dispersed camping zones along Ten Mile Road. As long as you're not camping within the Hume Lake Recreation zone you have a crazy amount of camping spots to choose from. Will have to head back to spend a little more time in Sequoia and check out the Crystal Spring cave system.
